Oil production in Kansas rose in 2012, but natural gas production fell last year, according to estimates from the Kansas Geological Survey at the University of Kansas. Kansas produced 43.7 million barrels of oil in 2012, up about 5 percent from the 41.5 million it produced the year before. Data on the KGS website showed the last time oil production was higher was in 1995....
